The Nautical Sports Resort of Ciutadella.

The Nautical Sports Resort of Ciutadella is situated at the south and west extreme of the island, and includes the municipal zones of Ciutadella and Ferreries, from Punta Nati to Cala Galdana, to the southern part of the island. The information office is located in the port of Ciutadella, in the Marine Command house. It is a very special office, being an historic and traditional building, later restored. Here they will inform you about all the activities which you can try in the Nautical Sports Resort of Ciutadella, these being principally marine boat trips and scuba diving. However, these are not the only possibilities: sailing, kayac hire, waterskiing, yacht charter or sport fishing are other alternatives. Those interested in practising a nautical sport are catered for in two ports: that of Ciutadella, with a maximum width of 500 metres at its' mouth, becoming narrower at the end, and with a very homely and marine atmosphere. After the port of Mahon, it boasts the most annual transit, as well as leisure activities of all types. The second is that of Cala en Bosch, an eminently sporting port situated to the extreme southwest of the island.

The Nautical Sports Resort of Fornells englobes the centre and north of the island, and includes the municipal zones of Es Mercadal, Alaior and Es Migjorn Gran. Its' nucleus is in Fornells, where the information office is located. The bay of Fornells is ideal to practise scuba diving, light sailing or windsurf; it is almost always a little windy, the bay is wide and the water gentle. Fornells is the gatewaty to the north coasts' Marine Fishing Reserve, and as such ideal for scuba diving. The surrounding areas of Fornells are the best for trying a kayac trip: the chiselled north coast offers some spectacular landscapes. The port of Fornells hosts moorings, sailing schools, nautical repairs workshops, boat hire companies, scuba diving and boat trips.

The Nautical Sports Resort of Mahon is located to the south-east extreme of Minorca, its' coastline running from Cap Negre in Mahon to Cala Biniparratx, in Sant Lluís. It includes the municipalities of Mahon, Sant Lluís and Es Castell and has its' centre in the port of Mahon, one of the largest natural ports in the Mediterranean with a length of 7 kilometres. The information office is to be found in the port of Mahon, where you will also find the majority of the activities, such as boat hire, yacht charter, maritime excursions and scuba diving centres. To the south part of Minorca, in Es Castell, Sant Lluís, S’Algar, Punta Prima, Torret, Biniancolla or San Climente you can try scuba diving or kayac rental, or take sailing classes. The Nautical Sports Resort of Mahon has the Maritime Clubs of Mahon and Villacarlos as associates, responsible for organizing boat races of all types and levels of vessel, all year round. From Mahon you can reach the Natural Park of S’Albufera des Grau, an ideal place to practise sport whilst enjoying the natural, protected surroundings.
